Riu Tequila Resort Location

Riu Tequila is just 3 km from the small town of Playa del Carmen, with its restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife. The convenient location makes the island of Cozumel and the archaeological sites of the Yucatan easily accessible.

Riu Tequila Beach

The Riu Tequila shares the same beach as The Riu Yucatan, which is just 400 meters away (5 minutes walking distance). The resort does provide shuttle service to the beach, where guests will find free towels and sun umbrellas.

Riu Tequila Pools

The beautiful gardens surround a fresh water pool area of 1,500 square meters, with an artificial beach, a separate pool for children, and jacuzzi. There are also free towels, loungers and sun umbrellas.

Golf Nearby 18-holes

This championship-level golf course was carved right out of the jungle by the Robert Von Hagge Associates. This 7,202 yard course is rated 73.1 and has plenty of tee boxes for every level of play. It is situated next to Playa del Carmen.

Daily activities by the pool and beach areas, with Windsurfing, Sailing, Kayaks, Boogie Boards and Snorkel-Equipment (opposite Yucatan). 

Evening entertainment for adults and children at Lounge Bar, Theme Nights, Two Discos (on-site and at Riu Yucatan).

A snack bar and restaurant located on the beach offering buffet service and on the spot cooking.

La Lupita
A poolside snack bar and restaurant serving cold and hot starters, meats, fish and snacks thought the day, featuring a specialty menu for dinner (reservations are required for dinner).

Restaurant Jalisco
An air-conditioned buffet restaurant serving delicious selections for breakfast and dinner, featuring show cooking and terrace seating. There is a non-smoking area, and a dress code is in effect for dinner.

Back to reality, but we are already thinking of going out there again next year ........... you haven't heard the last from us yet.

We had the best holiday ever at the Club Hotel Riu Tequila  - faultless.  The Apple Reps were so helpful, and as there were another 40 friends out there at the same time from the Isle of Wight who had mostly booked with an English tour operator, we had them booking their trips through the Apple Rep too!

We have just returned from a one-week vacation at the RIU Tequila and would like to let you know how much we enjoyed it. From booking the trip through your agency, to the flight arrangements, travel to Mexico and return, our experiences were first class and efficient. The Hotel resort was beautiful, with the setting and facilities exactly as you described them. The staff was the most helpful and friendly we have experienced in a long time. APPLE Vacations staff were on hand as promised and they were eager to show their knowledge and help make the vacation a real pleasure.
