First Impression of the
The Club Hotel Riu Jalisco presents arriving guests with excitement and knowledge that one has chosen a quality hotel for their vacation. The road and entrance to the Riu Jalico reminded us very much of the entrance to the Riu Palace Mexico in Playacar. Our first impression was that of opulence and grandeur. The large polished marble lobby presents arriving guests with an exquisite dark wood front desk and comfortable lobby furnishings, brightly colored walls, iron fountains, fine artwork, flowing fountains and winding marble stairways. The hotel entrance is open air and guests can view the exquisite fountains and the glorious sea from the lobby. What a spectacular first impression! |

In our opinion, the guest rooms at the Club Hotel Riu Jalisco are colorful, bright, and most important very clean. The polished marble floors and decor are welcoming and comfortable. Housekeeping does an excellent job stocking rooms with towels. Guest rooms feature a safe, mini refrigerator, hanging bar setup, and a wall-mounted hair dryer in the bathroom.

Note from Judy and Maria: The Club Hotel Riu Jalisco offers guests various dining options. Wonderful full-course breakfasts, lunch with a spectacular view of the ocean, and full-course meals in the evening. Buffets were fresh, We must say that our favorite restaurant was the a la carte Nayarit Brazilian Rodizio. Meat and poultry is prepared on a rotisserie and served at the table. Waiters sliced skewered selections at the tables -- beef, pork, turkey, and veal. At the end of our meal, a waiter prepared Mexican flaming coffee. A must see show! We understand that once a month the coffee tower collapses! (Photos shown below) Our meal was so incredibly delicious! Dining at the Riu Jalisco Resort is very nice.

and Maria: The Club Riu Jalisco bar service includes domestic drinks. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and professional.
Maria and I highly recommend the Cuban drink called the "Mohito"
which is made
with fresh crushed mint, sugar, limes, vodka and soda water -- so incredibly
good! Warning: don't drink too many Mohitos. While sitting
at the lobby bar we noticed the head bartender Victor! Victor had just
relocated from the Grand Palladium Resort in Riviera Maya to Puerto
