The Melía Caribe Tropical Resort
- Punta Cana The Melía Caribe Tropical has, without a doubt, the best location on the world-famous Bavaro beach. The most integrated into the natural setting, full of coconut palms, mangroves and thousands of unique animal and plant species. All rooms are Junior Suites and unlimited reservations are available at the hotels 5 a la carte and 6 buffet restaurants. The Melía Caribe Tropical Resort is 25 minutes from the Punta Cana Airport and 90 minutes from the La Romana Airport. Melía Caribe Tropical offers the amenities of a grand resort nestled in a romantic paradise. Turquoise waters and lush rainforest await, as do four tennis courts, a wide variety of water sports, casino and a 18 hole golf course. |

Judy and Maria's First Impression of the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort: The lobby of the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort is of polished marble and the lobby's decor is fresh, bright and elegant. As this was our fourth visit to the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort, we were familiar with the physical resort -- our main goal was to meet with the sales and management team to discuss our agency's clients vacationing at the resort. A well-polished, beautiful hotel is not our deciding factor to promote and sell a resort. Our agency's goal is to ensure that our client's will be taken care of from the beginning to the end of their vacation. A good resort has a strong agency/client-oriented management team in place.
Upon our arrival at the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort we were promptly greeted by Isabel Vasquez and Juan Carlos González -- the Sales and Management Team at the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort. We were impressed by their enthusiasm, knowledge and excitement for our agency to review and promote their resort. This is a win-win situation - for us and for you, our guests. Needless to say, our meeting with Isabel and Juan Carlos was good and the resort wonderful! Judy and Maria's Summary of the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort
The Melía Caribe Tropical Resort is a wonderful vacation option for everyone. The grounds are meticulous and well-manicured. Rooms are all junior suites and are clean and fresh. The suites are equipped with mini refrigerators with bottled water and soft drinks. Dining options are various and are voucher-less. Note: guests must make reservations for the a la carte restaurants upon arrival at the resort. The menu selections are various as is the food preparation. The buffets are extensive and very appetizing. The white sand beach is wide and the turquoise ocean great for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing. The pools are large and winding -- great for activities or for relaxation and quiet time. The children's program is structured and well-supervised. Babysitting is offered at a fee -- reservations are required. Activities abound - day and night - theme shows, dancing and a nice on-site casino. Tram cars continuously drive the property and pick up at guests at the many tram locations situated throughout the resort complex -- fun and easy.
The Melía Caribe Tropical Resort is a golf lovers paradise with a fabulous 18-hole golf course on-site. Interested in luxurious villa accommodations, please check out our photos of the new golf suites. The suites are absolutely gorgeous!
In closing, the Melía Caribe Tropical Resort has it all --- A resort for everyone! Rated 5-APPLE by APPLE Vacations, we must say that the Melía Caribe Tropical is on the verge of a 5-Golden APPLE rating very soon. We will keep you posted on this!
