Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda Resort Location

Ideally located on a 400 meter stretch of sandy beach, a 10 minute drive north from the town of Playa del Carmen and the ferry dock to Cozumel. The Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda is a 35-minute drive from the International Airport of Cancun in the Riviera Maya.

The Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda Resort  is located in the biodiversial maritime and terrestrial ecosystem of the Mayan Coastline, this area has a limestone formation and maritime grass as well as mangroves swamps. The reefs are structures of formed corals attracted by the quiet and warm waters of the Caribbean where a diversity of fishes, sea turtles, conches, lobsters and crabs have their habitats throughout  the mangroves. The beach is formed and accumulated thanks to the variety of plants which help to retain the sand and dunes.

The mangroves are the most important zone because they are the home to a huge variety of maritime and terrestrial species and plants like birds, fish, raccoons, iguanas, “tejones”, “tlacuaches”, and crabs.

The management’s ideology is to maintain and conserve the natural habitat of the location and protecting the growth of the native flora and fauna contributing to the preservation, reproduction and reforestation of the various types of mangroves, coastline and other areas.

“Five small luxury hotels”  -  each building has its own concierge offering all guests a personalized service. The design is a fusion of Mayan architecture with a simple forms ensuring a comfortable ambiance.

The number of rooms in each building differs from 3 (presidential suite with 3 bedrooms, private pool with a 150 square meters terrace) to 124 rooms and one bedroom suites.

A privileged area with a capacity of up to 324 people, where guests can dine, enjoy a drink, listen to music, relax and enjoy the excellent view overlooking the beach.

Its concept is contemporary Italian cuisine, combines an “antipasto” bar with a creative menu, the best of the traditional Italian cuisine in a vanguardist choice with a selected wine menu, and has a capacity of 300 guests in two areas.

The architectural design with large windows allows overlooking the ecological area.

The impressive formation of lamps, a special design from the Architect Ernesto Cruz from Guadalajara, has a visual impact that will surprise you from the entrance of the restaurant.

The spectacular furniture, awarded-winning of “Interior Design Reward” in 1996 in the magazine “Interior Design” will delight this gastronomic experience.

DON ISI – Mexican specialty a la carte service

Exclusive Mexican cuisine has a comfortable format to serve the guests: assorted of appetizers, main dishes and desserts, has a capacity of 244 guests.

The building will transport you to a typical Mexican “hacienda”, with a central fountain. Through its open windows and skylight you will enjoy the breeze and see the stars, with a Mexican ambiance.

In front of the guests that can be seated in a lower bar or in tall tables, the chef´s staff will prepare single dishes at the moment. From the other side of the bar, you can enjoy a manual punch into the gold and silver panel and bell of the open cooking area.
